Bike

Cycling is one of the best ways to discover the Quiberon peninsula. Take advantage of the many cycle paths to enjoy these large iodised spaces and measure yourself against the ocean!

DISCOVER THE TREASURES OF BRITTANY BY BIKE

From towering cliffs and wild creeks, endless dunes and spectacular panoramas to geological curiosities to name a few. Take a drive along the shoreline and you'll uncover all the peninsula's treasures! Enjoy the air, it feels like a breath of freedom.

  • THE ISTHMUS OF PENTHIEVRE: SURROUNDED BY WATER

The Isthmus of Penthièvre links the mainland to the peninsula and offers an exceptional panorama between the bay, the ocean and Fort Penthièvre. On this spit of land, barely 22 metres wide in places, the contrast between the calm of the surrounding beaches and the brilliance of the cliffs on the horizon are striking. Look to one side or the other, all you can see is waves!

  • CÔTE SAUVAGE: NATURALLY INVIGORATING

Constantly buffeted by wind and sea, this wild coastline offers you an exhilarating spectacle! As you walk along the beaches, you can feel with the rhythm of the ocean. Must-see places include Pointe du Percho and its Port-Blanc arch, Port Bara, Port Rhu, Château Turpault and its unique panoramic view of Belle-Île-en-Mer.

  • PLOUHARNEL: THE SURFER'S KINGDOM

At the entrance of the peninsula, Plouharnel is an essential spot for surfing enthusiasts. But it has a lot to offer everyone – it has footpaths where you can admire the surfers, migratory birds and broad, sandy beaches protected by miles of dunes. A little further along, the old town is a hidden gem with its stone houses, small alleys and the chapel, Notre-Dame-Des-Fleurs.

  • A LITTLE FURTHER ON: THE MYSTERIOUS CARNAC

Overlooking the peninsula, the famous seaside resort of Carnac guards its mysteries. Away from the soft, sandy beaches of the bay, more than 3,000 menhirs stand in line across a distance of more than 4 kilometres. These 7,000-year-old megaliths make it the largest standing-stone site in the world and one of the most exceptional prehistoric sites in France!
